About Me

I have been designing and developing commercial Internet and intranet sites for over 21 years. I became interested in programming having studied Pascal, C and Assembly languages during my Electronic Engineering degree.
I started out in web development building a knowledge management system for a small engineering firm shortly after graduating. I then joined a B2B publishing company as a web developer and I went on to manage a small team of ASP.NET developers. I then took on a challenging role at a marketing agency where I helped build a digital team from the ground up.
I am now the lead developer at a multimedia publishing company based in Kent.
My main skillset includes: user interface development (XHTML, CSS, Javascript/JQuery), Classic ASP, ASP.NET, C#, content management systems (CMS), web accessibility and usability, search marketing, SQL Server database development and maintenance and information architecture.
In 2003 I completed my Cisco CCNA Network exam, and more recently attained a Learning Tree .NET Enterprise Application Development Certification. I passed the Google Analytics Individual Qualification with an score of 88%, and I'm an active member of the Guild of Accessible Web Designers.
